This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I like. Scroll down a bit to start reading, or a bit more to read more about me.
Highway Three Roots Revue December 2011
Day 1 Tails wagging out of the mountain lands of Canmore. We are bound for Calgary and the Ironwood stage. Another Bluebird day. I can’t say enough about Alberta and the wonderful people who have supported the Highway Three Roots Revue over the past two weeks. I am so thankful.
Day 2 Another full capacity show last night at the Ironwood. The folks in Calgary and at the Ironwood really made us feel right at home. Thanks, you all make it worth while. We are Southern Alberta bound! Blackbird Coffee House, Coleman Ab. Tonight. See you there!
We roll the van through the spaghetti lines that kiss the outskirts of the great city of Edmonton. The final leg of the Highway Three Roots Revue tour for 2011. Heading South from the glorious North on 4 lanes of snowblown frostwashed blacktop into the Mountain kingdom of Canmore Alberta. Another show at the Comminutea Mountain Tearoom. Canmore was my first Alberta home, my introduction to mountain life and mountain lifestyle and it still rests fondly in my heart today, I am happy to be heading back. See you for Tea
It is a fresh and sunny day, Alberta is alive with promise today, no matter how small that may be it is a great day to hurl the van towards our sold-out show in Medicine Hat. On the road with John Wort Hannam and Leeroy Stagger as the Highway three roots revue. burning the snow thatched grain belt all the way to the hat. Abandoned pumpjacks broken signs and faded fencelines, goosepond blowouts big truck showboats. Through Brooks and it’s meatpacking nightmares of silence and deadcow breeze. The Medalta Motorway. Brick pot playthings ancient bowls and brick kiln hearts. Flags twisting in the energy flow.
Incredible Shows!!!!
